05/20/13 – “Buddy” – Beautiful Black Lab at Hart County Humane Society

Buddy, a black lab, is approximately 2 years old and was found a year and a half ago abandoned at a camp ground hiking site.  When he was found he was very skinny and had fleas and tapeworms.

Numerous unsuccessful attempts were made to find Buddy’s owners. The person who found him took him in and planned that her home would be his forever home. Right from the start he was a very friendly dog. Now he weighs 61 pounds and is one loveable, gentle dog who just melts your heart.

He visits local nursing homes where he enjoys showing kindness and love for people. Buddy walked in the Halloween parade where he loved the attention from the crowd and he had children falling all over him.  He loves to hike, go for walks, play in the water and go for rides in the car. He is wonderful with children, people of all ages and other dogs, small and large; but would chase cats.

Buddy is crate trained and has completed beginners training and does follow commands. He is a house dog who loves to snuggle up on the couch. It is breaking the owner’s heart to have Buddy leave her home, but she has been diagnosed with cancer and feels it is in Buddy’s best interest to have a home that is active and provide the care he so much needs.

Buddy is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and kennel cough in case he is boarded. If interested, please call Dorothy at (706) 377-2076 or email [email protected].
