Rev. Bobby Berryman Presented with Keys to the City of Royston

A local minister and active community member is the recipient of the Keys to the City of Royston.

Royston Mayor Keith Turman and the City Council took time out of their meeting Tuesday evening to honor the Rev. Bobby Berryman by presenting him with the Keys to the City.

The Rev. Berryman is Pastor of Ruckers Grove Baptist Church in Dewy Rose.

He has served as the chaplain for the Royston Police Department and has served and continues to serve Franklin County in a number of areas.

Berryman also serves on the Medlink Georgia Board where he has served for over 18 years and serves on the Royston Housing Authority Board

Mayor Keith Turman said he wanted to recognize the Rev. Berryman for all he has done for Royston and Franklin County.

The Reverend Berryman has also been very involved with the youth of Franklin County for many years.

He has coached baseball, basketball, and football in Franklin County through the Franklin County Recreation Dept.

His wife Peggy is retired from the Franklin County School System and he has driven a school bus for the past 30 years.

Rev. Berryman is also a past President of the Congress of Christian Education, and a teacher of the GMBC of GA. Congress of Christian Education.

He and his wife Peggy have been married for over 50 years and continue to be very active in all aspects of the community.
