Tickets Still Available for Saturday’s Steak and Eggs Fundraiser

There is still time to pick up your tickets for this Saturday’s Steak and Eggs Breakfast fundraiser at Longhorn Steakhouse in Lavonia.

Money raised will go towards helping to pay for the completion of the Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter’s new adoption wing.

The Steak and Eggs Breakfast is a great way to start your Saturday and help the animals.

This is the fourth Steak & Eggs breakfast fundraiser and Shelter founder and Board member Dr. Pam Stone says there are still tickets available for the two Saturday morning seatings at 8a and 9a.

The Shelter Board and staff have been working to raise over $450,000 to finish the new adoption wing, which will house those dogs that are healthy and ready for adoption while the existing facility will be for dog and cat intake and to quarantine dogs if needed.

Work has been going continuously for the past year and in February a tree was planted in front of the wing in honor of the late Margaret Ayers who was a great supporter of the shelter.

At that time, local officials and news media were given a tour of the building which they hope to have completed by the end of August with an open house for the public in September.

Tickets for the Steak & Eggs breakfast are $20 and are available from Longhorn Steakhouse, Pinnacle Bank, the Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter on Bear Creek Road or from any shelter board member.

The shelter is open every Tuesday and Wednesday, and Friday and Saturday from 11a to 4p.

Again, the Steak & Eggs Breakfast fundraiser takes place Saturday, July 13 with two seatings, 8a and 9a at the Longhorn Steakhouse on Jones St. in Lavonia.
