City Parks Are the Focus of Lavonia’s July Kindness Initiative

The City of Lavonia is kicking off July with another kindness effort.

In January Mayor Courtney Umbehant announced a year of kindness iniatives in Lavonia with a different focus each month.

At the time he said the Year of Kindness is an opportunity to look out for our fellow man and promote a more positively-focused community.

Speaking at the Lavonia City Council meeting this month, Umbehant said that the kindness initiative for July has to do with City Parks.

When those activities regarding Lavonia City Parks are announced we will bring them to you.

Last month, the City focused on working to revitalize the Farmer’s Market.

Plans are for the Farmers’ Market to expand behind the Train Depot.
