Jeep Fest Set for Saturday in downtown Lavonia

The weather is looking good for this Saturday’s Second Annual Jeep Fest and Pet Parade and Contest in downtown Lavonia.

This year’s Jeep Fest will take place from 9a to 4p and Jeep fans from across our area are encouraged to come together to celebrate the love of Jeeps and Pets.

In addition to some fabulous Jeeps, visitors can enjoy browsing some 48 merchandising vendors, grab some good food from the food vendors and local restaurants, and take part in or just watch the pet costume contest.

Chamber Director Genie Moore tells WLHR News they have sold out of spaces for food and merchandise vendors but there are still a few Jeep spots available.

As of today, of the 52 spaces available, 30 have registered so far so there’s still time for Jeep owners to sign up.

Registration for the Jeeps is $30 per Jeep and includes one free duck, the Jeep Parade entry, and a chance to win $100 cash for the best best-dressed Jeep and $50 for the best decorated.

But there is unlimited registration for the Pet Contest.

Registration is $10 plus a donation to the Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter’s Wish List.

That Wish List is on the Lavonia Chamber Facebook Page and the Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter Facebook page.

Extra ducks are also available for only $1 each and are also available to the public for chances to win great prizes.

Additionally, Ed Murdock Superstore will have new Jeeps on display and is also sponsoring an All-Jeep Parade through Lavonia which begins at 10a.
