Accused Child Kidnapper Dornellas Charged with 32 Counts in Georgia

The Georgia State Patrol Hartwell Post 52 has issued a laundry list of charges against accused kidnapper Joshua Dornellas, 31, of Belton, SC.

Georgia State Patrol Post 52 Commander Sgt. Camran Fleming said Dornellas faces a total of 32 charges.

They include felony charges of:

1. Aggravated assault
2. Kidnapping
3. Three counts of fleeing
4. Cruelty to a child
5. Arson 1st degree
6. Aggravated assault on law enforcement officer
7. Dui
8. Failure to yield right of way to emergency vehicle
9. Serious injury by vehicle
10. Three counts of felony conspiracy to
11. Commit a felony
12. Two counts of felony aggravated battery
13. Battery/family violence
14. Felony battery

He is also charged with multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

Dornellas also faces multiple charges in South Carolina where Anderson County Sheriff Chad McBride said he has a long criminal history.

Most recently those charges are connected to two recent occasions in which he allegedly assaulted his son’s mother and another incident in South Carolina in which he allegedly left five children under the age of 11 home alone. One of those children, a toddler, was later found wandering in the street.
