Preparations for 2024 Lavonia RenFest Almost Complete

Preparations are almost complete for this year’s Lavonia Renaissance Festival.

The City of Lavonia Downtown Development Authority in Conjunction with Lavonia Main Street is sponsoring the RenFest which will be held Saturday May 4 on the grounds of the old Moose Lodge across from Lavonia City Park.

Lavonia DDA Executive Director Barbara Busby said Tuesday most of the vendor spots are already filled.

This year’s theme is Pirates and Mermaids and Busby said they have a variety of theme-related live entertainment lined up for the Fest.

Additionally, Busby said there will be more Mermaids this year and a pirate ship for kids to climb on.

She added that there will be a wide variety of Renaissance-focused vendors and of course lots of good food.

Renfest takes place on property at the old Moose Lodge across from Lavonia City Park and there will be free parking at the American Legion Post.

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students, and kids under 5 are free.
