Preps Underway for 2024 Lavonia Boat Expo

With spring just around the corner, it’s time to make plans to visit the 2024 Lavonia Boat Expo coming up on Saturday, March 16 in downtown Lavonia from 10a to 4p.

Sponsored by the Lavonia Downtown Development Authority, this is the fifth year for the Boat Expo and a lot of vendors will be on hand to tell you all about boats, and all that goes with them.

Susan Poole, Boat Expo coordinator, says it’s a great way to find out all that Lavonia and Lake Hartwell have to offer.

Poole said four local boat dealers will be on hand with boats for people to see and buy and the Blueridge Society of Antique and Classic Boats will also be there with a number of classic, vintage boats.

But not everybody wants to buy a boat and Poole said there will be something for them at the Boat Expo as well.

There will be other vendors on hand selling everything from fishing tackle to dock repairs and most will also have giveaways and goodie bags.

Local shops and restaurants will be open as well and Sweet Combs of Honey on West Ave. will be hosting an art exhibit by local artists.

Again, the Lavonia Boat Expo is coming up on Saturday, March 16 from 10a to 4p on Main St. in downtown Lavonia and admission is free.
