Preps Underway for Fifth Annual Lavonia Renaissance Festival

The City of Lavonia Downtown Development Authority in Conjunction with Lavonia Main Street is calling all interested parties to attend a planning session for this year’s fifth annual Renaissance Festival.

The meeting takes place Friday, Feb. 12 at 5p at the Train Depot in downtown Lavonia.

The fifth annual Ren Fest will be held on Saturday, May 4 on the grounds of the old Moose Lodge across from Lavonia City Park.

Main Street Director Ashley Rose Dodd said the theme this year is Pirates and Mermaids.

Last year, the Festival attracted about 4,000 visitors and Dodd said this year they’re expecting at least that many.

Additionally, she said many of the same arts and crafts and food vendors as last year will be here, as well as some new ones who have already expressed an interest in signing up for space.

Again the planning meeting for the 2024 RenFest is Friday, Feb 12 at 5p at the Lavonia Train Depot.
