Romp-a-Roo Indoor Play Area to Open in Lavonia Next Month

Another new business is soon to open in downtown Lavonia and this one is geared toward mothers with babies and toddlers.

It’s called Romp-A-Roo and it’s located on the corner of West Avenue and 17 at the stop light.

The indoor play area is the brainchild of Audrey Payne who already runs a successful mobile party rental business.

Payne said she saw a real need in the area for an indoor play space where small children could play and their mothers could take a break.

She said there will be different areas for kids to play with different types of equipment and toys all with an educational goal similar to a Montessori school program.

Payne said it will also be available for party rentals.

For mothers or caregivers, Payne has planned a special area where they can converse or work and still be able to watch their children play in a safe environment.

And the price is right. Payne said it was just $10 for the day.

Payne said they are planning to open in March with a ribbon-cutting on March 9.
