St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Announces First Baby of New Year

Just days after we announced the first baby born at St. Mary’s Family Birth Center in Athens, St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia announces their first baby born in the new year.

On Friday, they announced that Ariah Marie Tortorella made her debut in Sacred Heart’s Mother/Baby Unit Tuesday, January 2 at 12:31p.

Little Ariah Marie is the daughter of Adrianna Tortorella and Ryan Thorton of Hartwell.

Delivered by Dr. James Bauerband, she weighed in at 8lbs 3oz and was 20 inches long at birth.

Ariah was welcomed as well by her big brother Angelo Roberts.

Everyone at Sacred Heart Hospital wishes Ariah and her family a safe, happy, and healthy new year.

On New Year’s Day, St. Mary’s in Athens welcomed their first New Year’s baby.

A Winder couple, Kelly and Chris Wulf, and big brother 4-year-old Hunter, welcomed Maverick on New Year’s Day at 4:24p at St. Mary’s Hospital Family Birth Center.

Little Maverick weighed in at 6lbs 1oz and was 19 inches long.
