St. Mary’s Athens Welcomes First Baby of New Year

St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital is still waiting to announce their first baby born in 2024 but parent hospital St. Mary’s in Athens welcomed their first New Year’s baby on January 1, according to Spokesman Mark Ralston.

Ralston said a Winder couple, Kelly and Chris Wulf, and big brother 4-year-old Hunter, welcomed Maverick on New Year’s Day at 4:24p at St. Mary’s Hospital Family Birth Center.

Little Maverick weighed in at 6lbs 1oz and was 19 inches long.

Dad Chris said It’s awesome to have the first baby born of the new year.
