Christian Learning Center in Franklin County Sees Positive Results

More Students at Franklin County Middle School are taking classes at the Christian Learning Center.

Director Chris Roberts gave School Board members an update at their meeting last week.

Roberts said when they started last year they offered one class and had 11 students.

Roberts said they hope to start offering one class at the high school next year.

In 2021, the Franklin County Board of Education approved a plan to allow the creation of a Christian Learning Center and to allow parents to send their students to classes there during regular school hours if they so desire.

There is no cost to the School system or the county.

Christian Learning Centers are fully funded by donations.

Courses offered include New and Old Testament Survey, Comparative Religions, and Family, Community & Careers.

Neighboring Banks and Stephens counties also have Christian Learning Centers.
