Lavonia Christmas Parade Set for Sunday

The City of Lavonia will cap its holiday festivities this Sunday with its annual Christmas parade.

Lavonia Main Street Director Ashley Rose Dodd says those planning to be in the parade need to register beforehand.

This year’s theme is Winter Wonderland and Dodd said they are asking parade participants to decorate their floats and vehicles in a winter snow theme.

Dodd said those participating need to start lining up at 1:30p.

Again the Lavonia Christmas Parade is this Sunday at 3p and runs through downtown Lavonia.

Also,a reminder that the Canon Christmas parade originally set for Saturday has been moved to next Saturday, December 9 at 11a because of rain in the forecast this weekend.
