Girl Scout Troop 12821 Partners with Carnesville to Create Dog Park

The Girl Scout Troop 12821 in Carnesville is working to raise money for a dog park.

Brooke Tate and Kate Graham are spearheading the effort to earn Brooke’s Scout Silver Award which is an optional project that Girl Scouts work on that impacts their community in a positive way.

It’s the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can earn.

The Troop is partnering with the City of Carnesville to install the park on Hull Avenue next to the City Park.

City Clerk Karen Little tells WLHR News that a specific monetary goal has not been set but so far, they’ve received donations totaling $1,290.

Money raised will go toward the purchase of the materials needed for the dog park, which will be called the Paws & Play Dog Park.

All donations are tax-deductible and may be dropped off at the Carnesville City Hall during regular business hours.
