NGTC Foundation Hosts Chris Clark for Workforce Presentation

The North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) Foundation Board of Trustees is hosting a free luncheon and community presentation, “The Future of Georgia’s Workforce,” from 12 to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the Clarkesville campus Industrial Technology Center.

Georgia Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Chris Clark will provide the keynote address focused on the new Georgia economy and the future of our workforce.

Clark has served in his current role since joining the Georgia Chamber in 2010. Prior to this, he served as commissioner of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, executive director of the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority, and deputy commissioner for the Georgia Department of Economic Development among other positions.

Clark is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and Georgia College and State University.

NGTC Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Marketing Amy Hulsey said the Board is extending personal invitations to companies and community partners that have an interest in assisting the college’s future workforce development efforts.

Hulsey said they will be presenting the latest information on the fastest growing and fastest declining job areas to our area so that companies and business owners as well as North Georgia Tech know how to best prepare for the area’s future needs.

The event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided.

The NGTC Industrial Technology Center is located at 1500 Highway 197 North.
