Angel Trees to Help Foster Children Going Up At Local Police Departments

Angel trees will soon be going up at the Lavonia and Royston Police Departments to help provide gifts for foster children.

Volunteers with Franklin and Hart County Foster Parent Association will be putting up the trees in the lobbies of both departments, according to volunteer Angela Whidby.

On each tree are dozens of tags for people to select and each tag indicates whether the child is male or female, their age, and the toy or toys they want for Christmas.

Whidby said this year the gift requests on the tags will be a little broader than in past years.

The deadline to drop off your gift is December 17 at either the Lavonia or Royston Police Departments.

Please make sure you include the tag with your gift when you drop it off.
