Health Dept Holding Drive Through Flu Clinic Today in Lavonia

District 2 Public Health is holding another drive-through flu vaccine clinic today.

This one is happening in Lavonia at the Lavonia Fire Department which is part of the Lavonia City Hall building.

The clinic, the last of three held in October, is designed to provide accessible and convenient flu vaccinations to residents, to ensure the community stays protected against influenza during the upcoming flu season.

The clinic takes place today from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Influenza, commonly known as the flu, can have severe consequences for individuals of all ages, and prevention is key to a healthier and safer community.

The drive-through clinics have been streamlined and are an efficient process to ensure the safety and convenience of participants.

It’s easy to go through the drive-through flu clinic today.

You just stay in your vehicle and a nurse will take your information.

A trained healthcare professional will then administer the flu vaccine while adhering to strict safety and hygiene protocols.

Walk-ins are also welcome, ensuring accessibility for all residents.

All health departments accept most commercial insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid for no co-pay.

Self-pay pricing is available for those who are uninsured or under-insured.
