Hart Co Elections Office to Hold Voting Machine Demo Saturday at Library

More voting machine demonstrations are slated for Hart County citizens.

A demonstration of the new machine and how it works was held Thursday evening at the public library and Hart County Elections Supervisor Robin Webb said another one is planned this weekend at the library at 10a.

Webb said the response to the new voting machine has been positive so far.

“Here at the office, I usually have people trickling in all the time, but the ones I’ve done at the clubs or for people who have asked me, they have been very attended,” Webb said.

Both Hart and Franklin county election offices have had the new voting machines available in their offices for people to come in and look at and get a demonstration.

Webb said if by election day you haven’t had a chance to learn how to use the new machines, there will be help available at the polling place.

“There will be poll officials assisting at every polling location. We will have plenty of poll officers helping our voters. We will be well-staffed for anyone who is uncomfortable or unsure of what they’re doing,” she said.

Webb said if your club or organization would like a demonstration of the new voting machines, she will bring one out to you for a demonstration.
