Salvation Army Angel Treel Sign Up Ends Thursday in Toccoa

We want to remind you that Thursday is the last day for low-income families to sign up for the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree.

Sign up for families in Stephens, Franklin, and Hart counties began Tuesday and continues today and Thursday.

Brenda Gragg is a social worker with the Salvation Army chapter in Toccoa.

Gragg says there are certain things families or caregivers of the children need to bring.

“Sign-up for the Angel Tree Program is being held October 1-3, from 10 a.m. until noon and from 1 until 4 p.m. and on Thursday, October 3, from 5 until 7 p.m.,” she said. “Parents and guardians need to bring a picture ID, a birth certificate for every child age 13 and under in the household, and a utility bill with current address. Also needed to register is a utility bill with current address.”

Gragg also asks that during registration, Guardians have the clothing and shoe sizes for each child.

Gragg encourages parents to only register through one agency; rather than the other agencies that offer similar programs, to ensure that every child’s needs are met.

Additionally, the Salvation Army in Toccoa is taking sign-ups for volunteer bell ringers and other volunteer opportunities.

Again, registration for the Angel Tree Program is being held October 1-3, from 10 a.m. until noon and from 1 until 4 p.m. and on Thursday, October 3, from 5 until 7 p.m.

The Salvation Army Angel Tree program is open to low-income families in Stephens as well as Franklin and Hart counties.
