Mr. Gus Powell, age 81 of Royston Ga. , died Sunday June 30, 2013 at Brown Memorial Convalescent Center. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday July 3, 2013 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lavonia City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Strickland Funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm. At other hours, the family will be at the home of Billy and Shirley Powell Lavonia.
