Voters Go to the Polls Today for the Georgia May Primary

Voters are going to the polls today to cast ballots for local, and state races in the Georgia May Primary election.

Today voters will go to their respective precincts to vote between 7a and 7p.

Voters in Franklin County are deciding on who will fill seats in BOC Districts 1 & 2, BOC Commission Chair, Board of Education Post 1, Franklin County Sheriff, Magistrate Judge, and the race for Northern Judicial Circuit District Attorney.

Additionally, voters in Franklin County have eight State Republican Party and eight State Democratic Party questions to decide.

In Hart County, voters will also go to their respective precincts to cast ballots today.

Voters in Hart County have five local contested County races and the Northern Judicial Circuit District Attorneys race to decide.

They include the race for Sheriff, BOC Districts 1 and 5, Magistrate Judge, and Board of Education Post 3 as well as the Northern Judicial Circuit District Attorney race.

And like Franklin County, Hart County voters have eight State Republican Party and eight State Democratic Party questions to decide.

And a reminder to those who still need to return their absentee paper ballots.

Your ballots must be returned to your Board of Elections or Registrar’s office by 7p this evening if you want your votes to be counted.
