Two Local Probation Officers Honored by the State

Two local probation officers in the Northern Judicial Circuit are being recognized by the State Department of Corrections for outstanding service.

“The awards are presented quarterly to one of the 900 probation officers throughout the state and are presented to  a Probation Officer who is a consistently high performer and who contributes to the overall mission of Probation Operations,” said Freddie Pulliam, Chief Probation Officer of the Northern Judicial Circuit, which includes Hart, Franklin, Elbert, Madison and Oglethorpe counties in Georgia.

For the fourth quarter of 2012, which ended December 31st, Elbert County probation officer Bridget Graham received the award for her work in the Elberton Probation Office and the new Day Reporting Center-Lite that she manages. 

And for the first quarter of 2013, which ended March 31st,  Probation Officer Travis Rucker was recognized  for his achievements in working with other agencies and supervising sex offenders in Elbert and Oglethorpe Counties. 

Both officers were presented with their awards by Commissioner Brian Owens at Georgia Department of Corrections headquarters on Tift Campus in Forsyth, GA.
