Toccoa Police Search for Suspect in Weekend Stabbing

Toccoa Police are searching for a suspect they say stabbed a Toccoa resident.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize, on June 27, officers were dispatched to the Stephens County Hospital, in regard to a stabbing on the night before.

Medical staff advised the officers that the victim, identified as 29=year old Tyrian Stallings of Toccoa was attacked by an unknown black male with a knife after leaving Zebos gas station.

The victim suffered a 5-inch gash on his upper left chest and shoulder.

Stallings told police he did not know his attacker but said the man was acting crazy, jumping on him, and swinging a pocket knife at him.

The attacker was wearing a black shirt, black hat, and black boots.

Mize asks that anyone who may have been in the vicinity that evening and witnessed the attack or saw someone matching that description is asked to please contact Toccoa Police Department Detective Eddie Neal at 706-282-3236.
