SUSPECTED CARJACKER ARRESTED IN FRANKLIN COUNTY

A Greenville, SC man who allegedly carjacked a vehicle is behind bars in Franklin County

According to Franklin County Sheriff Scott Andrews it happened Sunday when Officer Swing with the Georgia Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division along with Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies received a report to be on the lookout for a stolen vehicle out of South Franklin County.

Andrews said Officer Swing located the stolen vehice at the 76 gas station in Carnesville.

The driver had abandoned the vehicle and left on foot.

However, a short time later the suspect, identified as 27-year old Leandae Verno Glover from Greenville South Carolina, was spotted and taken into custody by deputies and and transported to the Franklin County Detention Center.

Sheriff Andrews commended Officer Swing and his deputies for a job well done.
