Sports Tech President Charged With Child Molestation

Buddy FowlkesIn Banks County, the president of Sports Tech Training Center in Banks Crossing is facing charges of child molestation and authorities say more charges are expected.

According to Banks County Sheriff’s spokesperson Sgt. Carissa McFaddin, 67-year old Will Doc “Buddy” Fowlkes of Commerce was arrested Friday.  McFaddin said the GBI has been called in to assist in the investigation. 

According to their Web site, SportsTech was founded in 1992 and coaches young athletes in baseball and girls softball.

The Fowlkes have been actively involved in the sports of baseball and softball for four generations, according to the Web site.

Buddy Fowlkes, President of SportsTech, has coached youth and summer league teams for over 40 years.

Details of the charges against Fowlkes have not yet been released and McFaddin said the investigation is continuing this morning.
