Singers Sought for Celtic Christmas Choir

Calling all singers.

Savannah River Productions is looking for people to be part of the Celebration Choir for their second annual Celtic Christmas Concert at the Swails Center Auditorium at Emmanuel College.

The concert is coming up December 13 and 14.

Choir members will perform five songs as part of the concert, which also includes several other Celtic groups and dancers.

Andrea Bradford is the President of Savannah River Productions.

She tells WLHR News any and everyone who likes to sing is welcome to participate.

“The Celebration Choir is made of up people from all over Northeast Georgia,” she said. “It’s a unique opportunity to sing with a great group. We practice at the playhouse Tuesday evenings from 6p to 7:30p. We had 50 people last year, and a lot of them are singing with us again, but we would love to see that number grow this year.”

In addition to the Celtic Concert, there will also be a Christmas Bazaar for people to explore, and Bradford said they are currently looking for vendors.

“We open shopping at 5p and from 5p to 7:30p people are allowed to come in and do some Christmas shopping, and then we take a longer intermission as well for more shopping and we do shopping for 30 minutes after the show,” she explained. “We’re looking vendors to set up booths for free. We are limiting them to three tables.”

Bradford said booths are free but must be reserved in advance and are limited to 3 tables .

Anyone wishing to sing in the Choir or wants to put up a vendor table, you can call Bradford at 706-376-7397 for more information.

Additionally, tickets to A Celtic Christmas are on sale and are $22 adults, $20 seniors, $5 students, $18 groups of 8 or more. Call 706-376-7397 to reserve tickets or visit http://www.savannahriverproductions.org.
