Reward Offered in Search For Missing Nicholson Man

Missing person poster 2A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the whereabouts of a missing Nicholson man.

On Tuesday, the Jackson County Sheriff’s office sent a flyer to Franklin County Sheriff Stevie Thomas asking for help.
According to Jackson County Sheriff Janis Mangum, 26-year old Joshua Scott Adams went missing from his Nicholson home May 20, 2013.

His car was found that same day by a pond on Brockton Loop in Jefferson.  Inside were his wallet, keys, ID and cellphone.  His shoes were found near the pond.

But according to Sheriff Mangum, a search of the area by ground and air turned up nothing.

On Tuesday, Sheriff Mangum said they have received some information that Adams may have been in the Lavonia area some time after he was reported missing.

Josh Adams is described as a white male, 6’2”, 240lbs with short brown hair and brown eyes.

His family reports Adams had just returned from a six-week rehab in Michigan two weeks before he went missing.
Anyone with information on Adams’ whereabouts that leads to an arrest or conviction of the person responsible will receive a $50,000 reward.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts without an arrest or conviction of the person responsible will receive a $30,000 reward.
