Local law enforcement in Franklin and Hart counties are advising folks to stay off the roads Sunday morning because of the potential for ice.

Lavonia Police Chief Bruce Carlisle said if you don’t need be out Sunday morning, stay home.

Carlisle said however, his officers will be available to help essential personnel and those who find themselves stranded.

He said they acquired a special vehicle for the purpose.

Now if you live in the County and need to get to work, again call 911 and a Sheriff’s deputy will be able to pick you up.

The same is true in Hart and Stephens counties.
