Mr. James Owen “Big O” Waller, age 64, of Canon, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 in Athens, GA. A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia with Rev. Mike Fulghum, his longtime friend, officiating the service remembering Big O as we all knew him and loved him. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the North East Georgia Animal Shelter, 870 Bear Creek Road, Lavonia, GA 30553 or Burton Trout Hatchery 3695 Hwy 197 Clarkesville, GA 30523.
