Number of Tickets Cut for Friday’s Lions vs East Hall Game

Franklin County schools Athletic Director Jason Oliver has announced changes to their upcoming away game with East Hall, which he said mandated a new protocol for how many game tickets they could give out.

Oliver said East Hall is limiting the capacity of their stadium to 35%.  They are also asking visiting bands and cheerleaders to not attend.

As a result, Oliver said Franklin County had been given just 200 tickets for the game.

Additionally, he said the Lions football program has been allotted approximately 100 tickets to account for parents.  Oliver said the remaining tickets were offered on a first-come, first-serve basis on Wednesday.

People wanting tickets lined up in their cars at the high school and were able to purchase two tickets per vehicle.

On the Franklin County Schools Facebook page, Oliver said he and the coaching staff were disappointed that they had to tell fans they may not be able to attend the game and support the student-athletes.

However, he reminded everyone that the team “will soon be back in the Lion’s Den, where supporters will once again be able to join together in mass to support our football players, band, and cheerleaders.”

And while you may not be able to attend the game in person Friday night, the good news in all this, however, is that WLHR/Lake Hartwell radio will be airing the game live Friday evening beginning at 6:30p with kick-off at 7:30p.

And that is free.
