Nubbins: Beautiful Yellow Lab Mix Girl Waiting for Her New Family

Nubbins

There are some shelter dogs who seem to quietly wonder, “When is it finally going to be my turn?” We think Nubbins may be one of them. 💔

This beautiful, sweet girl has now spent 48 days at the shelter. Forty-eight days of watching people come and go, hoping that maybe today will be the day someone sees her, chooses her, and takes her home.

Nubbins was found roaming at large. A kind person saw her wandering and did the right thing — they picked her up and brought her to the shelter so she would be safe. We’re incredibly grateful someone cared enough to make sure she wasn’t left out there alone. But now, Nubbins needs the next kind person to step forward. ❤️

At 39 pounds, Nubbins is the perfect size for someone looking for a sweet companion. She’s a Retriever mix and is up to date on her age-appropriate vaccines. Most importantly, she is a girl who deserves the chance to know what it feels like to belong.

She deserves a soft bed that is hers.
She deserves someone who will call her name and mean “come home.”
She deserves walks, cuddles, treats, and a family who will never let her wonder where she belongs again. 🥹🐾

We don’t know what happened before Nubbins arrived at the shelter. We only know that somehow, somewhere along the way, this sweet girl ended up without a family. And after 48 days, she is still waiting.

Please don’t let Nubbins become just another dog who was overlooked. Share her story. Tag a friend. Come meet her. Maybe the person who changes Nubbins’ whole world is reading this right now. 🏡❤️

Nubbins is waiting. And she’s worth the wait. 🐾

The Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter is located on Bear Creek Road in Lavonia. The shelter is open Tuesdays – Saturdays, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
