New Precinct Cards Going Out in Franklin County for Voters With Polling Place Changes

New precinct cards are going out in Franklin County this week for those who live in the precincts that are moving their polling places.

Of the seven precincts, Lavonia, North Franklin, and Royston polling places have moved for the November General Election to accommodate the expected heavy turnout.

All Lavonia voters inside the City limits will now vote at the Lavonia Community Center.

North Franklin voters in the Gumlog Community will go in November to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, and the Royston area voters will go to the Royston Train Depot.

On Monday, Franklin County Election Supervisor Gina Kesler said voters should look for the new cards in their mailboxes this week.

Kesler said if you live in one of those three precincts and have not received your new precinct card by next week you need to let her office know.

Additionally, Kesler said the deadline to register to vote if you want to vote in the November General Election is coming up soon on October 5th.

And it’s also the deadline to make sure you notify your election office of any change of address since the last election, as well as learn whether you’re still on the voter rolls.

If you have not voted in the last two General Elections in 2016 and 2018, you may have been removed from the voter rolls. So, is the time to make sure you are still registered.
