New Ministry Developing in Franklin County to Help Homeless Women

The founder of the Family Life & Pregnancy Resource Center is expanding her ministry to women.

On her Facebook page, Tina Brock announced a new ministry to help homeless young women.

Brock said now that the Family Life & Pregnancy Resource Center has grown and turns 18 this year, she believes the Lord is leading her to take this extra step.

“Over the years, we’ve had women call with no place to go,” she said. “And since Franklin Life turned 18 last year the Lord place another vision in my heart. So hopefully next year there will be a refuge/homeless shelter for young ladies with no place to go, whether pregnant or out of trafficking.”

The goal of Righteous Rock Refuge, according to Brock, is to serve as a place of protection, support, and resources that empower women and girls to feel safe, to heal, regain stability, and move forward to find long-term or permanent housing.

Brock said the ministry became a reality to her after inheriting 10-acres in Franklin County a few years ago and she decided to donate the land to this new outreach.

“The name of it is Righteous Rock Refuge and if you’re on Facebook you can find it at Righteous Rock Refuge, Inc. and you’ll see a little bit about it there. We’ve turned in our zoning application and we’re waiting for the meeting for that. And we already have our building, it will be shaped like a cross. So, we’re very exicted about this,” Brock said.
