Missing Stephens County Teen Found Safe in Franklin County
A Stephens County teen is in custody in Gainesville after reportedly going missing over the weekend.
Stephens County authorities asked for the public’s help Saturday on the 92.1 Facebook page to find the 16-year old teenage girl.
According to Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley, Simmons was last seen on Thursday, February 20th at the Mountain Education Center in Toccoa. By Saturday evening, Shirley reported on the 92.1 Facebook page that the teen was found unharmed at an undisclosed location in Franklin County.
Shirley said she was taken to the Youth Detention Center in Gainesville.
