Dr. Michael David James, 72, of Royston, GA, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, GA.

Funeral services will be held in the Royston Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026.  Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
The body is at Pruitt Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026.  At other times, the family will be at their respective homes.

In lieu of flowers; memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Alzheimer’s Association.
