“Little Momma” Waits for a Loving Home at the Hart County Humane Society

This week’s Pet of the Week is Little Momma, a five-year-old tabby cat at the Hart County Humane Society who has had a rough life and needs a warm lap to curl up on in a safe, loving home.

“We received a call about a very pregnant cat at Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter. The small rural shelter has no room for moms with nursing babies, we had to get her out. It broke our hearts that a five-year-old cat was still having babies and had no family to care for her,” said Humane Society President Donna Madkiff.

The petite mom was taken to a foster family where she and the babies were cared for and loved. The babies have been adopted while Little Momma still waits for her forever family.

“If you’ll notice from her photo, one eye is slightly smaller than the other, but it doesn’t bother her, we hope it doesn’t bother you,” Madkiff said.”Little Momma knows she is rescued and shows her gratitude with unlimited affection.”

Little Momma is spayed, microchipped, feline leukemia/FIV negative, appropriately vaccinated, and treated for parasites. . She is available to an inside always home where she will not be declawed.
