Lifetime Movie Shot in Helen to Air in December

The Lifetime TV Network is famous for its Christmas romance movies and come this December you will be able to watch one of their new ones that was shot in Helen, Georgia.

“Christmas Love Letter,” was filmed in Helen by Sunshine Films, a movie company based out of Miami, and will air on Lifetime December 21 at 6p.

The movie was shot last spring from April 18 through May 8 in Helen and surrounding areas in White County.

According to Jerry Brown, executive director of the Alpine Helen-White County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the cost and economic impact during the filming totaled $542,000.00.

Brown said he believes that after “Christmas Love Letter” airs on December 21 the White County and the town of Helen will benefit from the film with more tourists and visitors, which he said should bring the town additional revenue.

This year Helen is celebrating its 50th year as an Alpine village.
