Lavonia Fall Festival Bigger Than Ever This Year

The Lavonia Fall Festival is back for 2022 and the weather is expected to be perfect.

This year’s festival takes place this Saturday from 9a to 4p in downtown Lavonia.

This year’s festival is expected to be bigger and better than ever with about 135 booths with arts, crafts, and other vendors.

DDA Executive Director Barbara Busby tells WLHR News that as of Wednesday, they were still getting calls from vendors wanting to reserve space but they are now full.

As in past years, arts and crafts and food vendors will be lined along both sides of Main St. downtown.

New this year, visitors to the festival will enjoy even more vendors set up in front of the restaurants on Main St., and down along West Ave.

There will also be a mechanical bull ride and lots of goodies to snack on as you stroll through the fair, including hot dogs, popcorn, and cotton candy, along with food trucks selling BBQ, ribs, nachos as well as a new Cuban food truck.

Because of the extra vendor booths, the children’s play area this year will be in front of First United Methodist Church.

In addition to food and arts and crafts, there will also be entertainment live entertainment throughout the day.

Headlining the entertainment is Clay Paige, from Elberton, who was a contestant on American Idol.  Paige performs at 2:30p.

Kicking off the entertainment will be Jess Fowler at 10a. Then at noon, County Line Jazz will perform.

Again, the Lavonia Fall Festival takes place this Saturday from 9a to 4p in downtown Lavonia.
