Last Day to Sign Up for Hartwell Scarecrow Bash is Today

Today is the last day to register to participate in Hartwell’s annual Scarecrow Bash.

This is the 12th year for the Scarecrow bash and unlike most years, there is no theme for your scarecrow this year so let your creativity guide you.

The deadline to register is today and participants may start putting up their scarecrows on Saturday, September 24.

To be eligible for winning a prize, you will need an official registration sign. If you already have a registration sign from years past, you can re-use it.

Scarecrows will remain in place through October 31st.

Judging will be done for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners by a special committee of outside guests.

1st Place – $500, 2nd Place – $300, 3rd Place – $200, and the People’s Choice winner will receive $100.

Voting boxes for the People’s Choice Award will be located around the square in downtown Hartwell.

You can vote for your favorite using the official ballot in The Hartwell Sun. Official ballots will only be available from The Hartwell Sun print edition.
