Kentucky Couple Facing Multiple Drug Charges in Franklin County
A routine traffic stop over the weekend led to the arrest of two people from Kentucky in Lavonia on multiple drug charges.
According to Franklin County Sheriff Scott Andrews it happened Saturday night, April 12, at around 10:14 pm.
“Franklin County deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area of Owens Drive and Georgia 17. The driver, Jonathan Andrew Goble of Richmond, KY attempted to flee,” the Sheriff said.
A chase ensued, but he said Deputies performed the PIT maneuver to stop the fleeing vehicle and Goble, the driver, was taken into custody.
“A passenger, Lacresha Glover of Elkhorn City, KY, was detained and later arrested after a search of the vehicle revealed 2 large tumblers containing approximately 5 pounds of methamphetamine with the eventual street value of $170,000,” Andrews said.
Goble is charged with:
• D.U.I.
• Trafficking methamphetamine
• Window tint violation
• Possession of drug-related objects
• Felony fleeing and attempting to elude
Glover is charged with:
• Trafficking methamphetamine
• Possession of drug-related objects
Goble and Glover were arrested and transported to Franklin County Detention Center.
