Mr. Jerry Raymond Porterfield, 77, of Royston, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville, GA. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes. A memorial service celebrating Mr. Jerry Porterfield’s life will be held Sunday, May 21 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 202 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
