Jane is not Plain – Beautiful Calico Cat at NEGAS Needs Loving Home

Jane is a 5-yr old calico cat that was turned in to the Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter in Lavonia in early December because her owner could no longer keep her.

Jane is already spayed so her adoption fee was lowered to $35.

“She is a very sweet cat and would be perfect as a companion for a single adult or couple with no children,” said Shelter Director Tammi Jourdenais.  “She loves to be petted and to sit on your lap and just be held.”

Jourdenais said Jane is afraid of children so a family with kids would not be appropriate for Jane.

“We don’t think she has ever been around children and when they come into the cat adoption center she will hide,” she said. “So we would like to see her go to a home where she is the only cat and with no children.”

If you would like to meet Jane you can stop by the Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter on Bear Creek Road in Lavonia, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday from 11a to 4p.
