Hart County Humane to Participate in Petsmart’s first National Adoption Event of 2020.

The Hart County Humane Society will once again be participating in Petsmart’s first National Adoption Event of 2020.

Humane Society President Donna Madkiff tells WLHR News they will be joining the Anderson County Humane Society at the Anderson Petsmart Saturday and Sunday with a host of wonderful dogs needing their new forever homes.

Madkiff said all available pets for adoption are already spayed or neutered, tested negative for diseases, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, and treated for parasites.

To find out what dogs and cats the Hart County Humane Society will have available at this weekend at the National Adoption event you can go online to harthumane.org and if you see a dog or cat you’re interested in you can go ahead and fill out an adoption application and speed up the process this weekend.

Each rescued pet adopted makes room for a shelter pet to be rescued.

Every person who adopts a dog or cat from the Hart County Humane Society at the Anderson Petsmart this weekend will also receive a valuable book of coupons towards supplies and services, including free food, free wellness veterinary checkup, 50% off grooming and more to help bring your new friend home.

According to Petsmart Charities, over 25,000 pets find loving homes during National Adoption Weekend events.

Held four times per year, that’s over 100,000 lives transformed through pet adoption at PetSmart stores across North America.
