Franklin County Authorities Seeking Suspect in Catalytic Converter Thefts

Fr. Co authorities are looking for this man in connection with the theft of a catalytic converter

The Franklin County Sheriff and Franklin Springs Police Dept. are looking for three suspects involved with taking catalytic converters from vehicles in the Franklin Springs area.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff Facebook page, around noon on Monday, August 3, a white male was caught on surveillance video removing a catalytic converter from an SUV parked at a business on Highway 29 in Franklin Springs.

The surveillance video captured images of the white male suspect, along with two white females.

A vehicle they are believed to have been driving is a gold/ tan Honda Odyssey with front end damage.

The Sheriff’s Office is attempting to identify the three suspects and are asking for the public’s help.

According to the Sheriff’s office, the thefts are occurring during daylight hours to parked vehicles.

Investigators say the trio is also suspected of being involved in multiple other thefts in the Northeast Georgia area.
