Free Food Giveaway at Lavonia Presbyterian Church
The Lavonia Presbyterian Church in partnership with the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia will be distributing free food to all qualifying residents of Hart and Franklin Counties on Thursday, April 8th, at 8-10 a.m. in the church parking lot.
Volunteers are needed to assist in by putting food items into the boxes. Other jobs range from very light to heavy lifting. Work starts at 7:30 am and is usually over by 10 a.m.
Residents may qualify if their income is less than $1,383 monthly or $319 weekly for households with only 1 person. An additional $468 monthly or $120 weekly is added for each additional household member. Your signature on the form you sign at the Mobile Food Pantry serves as your proof of income. No other document is required. Program benefits and participation are made available to everyone regardless of race, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability.
This event will be held on a first come, first served basis and will be held rain or shine. You must enter E. Main Street at the Fairview Baptist Church and follow directions from Law Enforcement and/or church personnel. Questions may be directed to the Mobile Food Pantry at 706-356-4416.
