Easter Egg Hunts Set For Saturday Around Our Area

Easter is this Sunday, and there are lots of Easter Egg Hunts planned for Saturday in our area.

In Royston, DDA Director Michael Crump said this year’s hunt will be on Saturday, April 19, at 10a at the Royston VFW. The actual egg hunt will begin at 10:30a.

The egg hunt is sponsored by VFW Post 4828, Lake Hartwell Shrine Club, and the Royston DDA.

The City of Canon is also holding an Easter Egg Hunt Saturday at Canon City Park at 2p. Kids can also get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny.

Victoria Bryant State Park is holding a 10,000-plus egg hunt at the park on April 19th from 2-3 p.m. Bring your children and their baskets to hunt at Shelters 1, 2, & 3.

There will be hot dogs and concessions that will be for sale at the park. Also, there will be Free photos with the Easter Bunny.

The egg hunt is a free event and will be held rain or shine. A $5 parking fee or an annual pass are required inside the park.

Lavonia is also planning an Easter Egg-stravaganza this Saturday with their annual egg hunt at Lavonia City Park from 2p to 4p with the actual egg hunt starting at 2:30p.

DDA Director Ashley Rose Dodd said kids will be divided into age groups and each group will have its own section of the park in which to hunt for Easter eggs.

And several churches have also let us know about their planned Easter Egg hunts.

Faith Tabernacle Church on Fowlertown Rd in Toccoa will hold its Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday at 11a as will Reed Creek Baptist Church in Hartwell.

The Egg Hunt at Reed Creek will be held at 11:30a Sunday morning.
