Dollar Tree Store Coming to Lavonia

A new Dollar Tree is coming to Lavonia.

At their City Council meeting Monday, City Manager Charles Cawthon said the store will be located on Augusta Road.

“A new Dollar Tree is proposed. We have the plans on it to be located on the corner of Burton St. and Augusta Road. Plans have been submitted and construction should begin in the next couple of months,” he said.

Cawthon noted the new store is part of a trend of new interest from retailers in Lavonia.

“As you well know, we’ve had a lot of interest from developers; everything from business, commercial and industrial, as well as residential and everywhere in between. So, we’ve got a lot activity going on,” he told the Council and Mayor.

Since January, three new restaurants have opened in Lavonia including Longhorn Steakhouse, Phil Your Belly, and Southern Smokehouse BBQ.
