Cruzin’ Down Doyle Set for this Saturday in Toccoa

Main Street Toccoa will host the third cruise-in event, Cruzin’ Down Doyle, in downtown Toccoa on May 21 from 3 pm – 7 pm on Doyle St. from Sage St to Broad St. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, and tractors will be welcome.

Participants can register at the intersection of Doyle St. and Alexander St. The first 80 to register will receive an event t-shirt. There is no registration fee.

Over 70 cars and trucks registered at the March event and 30 at Toast of Toccoa.

“We are hoping for an even bigger turnout this month. In fact, we have broadened the area down to Broad St. to make sure that we have plenty of space,” said Sharon Crosby, Special Events Coordinator of the City of Toccoa. “We will be giving out 80 shirts this time since we had such a good turnout in March.”

Several downtown stores and restaurants will be open. The community is invited to attend and bring their cars, trucks, and motorcycles.

R & R Prime, Kinetic by Windstream, and Main Street Toccoa sponsored the t-shirts that will be given out.

Beginning in the month of May and continuing until September, the cruise-in will be held once a month on the third Saturday, Crosby said.
