Annual National Day of Prayer Service Set for Noon in Hartwell

The National Day of Prayer is Thursday and a special service will be held in Hart County at noon on the grounds of the Hart County Courthouse in Hartwell. In case of rain, it will be held at the First Methodist Church, Hartwell.

The event is sponsored by the Jo Harris Women’s Interdenominational Bible study, which meets at Christ’s Church, located at 1318 Reed Creek Highway.

This year’s theme is “Glorify God among the nations.” I Chronicles 16:24
” Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples.”

The theme is inspired by a prayer of Thanksgiving, prayed by King David in 1 Chronicles 16 after bringing the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem.

On Thursday, Ministers from Hart County will lead everyone in prayer, and together everyone will sing several patriotic songs.

The National Day of Prayer invites everyone to remember ” we are one nation under God.”

WLHR/Lake Hartwell Radio will air the Hartwell National Day of Prayer Service live Thursday, beginning at noon.
